A recent project that I recruited for was with a customer part way through the rollout of Infor LN to multiple sites throughout the UK. The customer was going through a difficult transition period, with a change of personnel at senior level, as well as two key members of the project team moving to different organisations after being headhunted. I was tasked with recruiting a senior Infor project manager with strong technical skills, but also the ability to drive change with a positive mindset to direct the wavering project to success. The project had reportedly slowed down over the previous couple of months...and this needed to change.
After speaking with the Head of IT about the requirements at great length, it was agreed that the priority was to find the senior project manager first. Following this, and once the project manager was in place, the replacement of two consultants on the project team would follow. I was confident that my market knowledge and the extensive network would make this quick and easy for the client to fill these Infor ERP jobs.
The PM I sourced was immediately available, had excellent project management skills and the ability to roll up his sleeves and get involved with the project on a technical level. Following this, I recruited a Senior Infor Finance consultant with over twenty years experience in the field, immediately available and a short distance away from the first site scheduled for go-live. Finally, the last piece of the puzzle was sourcing a Manufacturing Infor LN consultant. I reached out to an individual I'd worked with during 2020, who just so happened to available for new contracts. He interviewed and was hired the same day.
The project speed accelerated when the correct team was in place. The business could push on with its plans of getting the first site live, without the worry and stress of recruiting. A weight was lifted from the shoulders of the senior leadership team and I'm proud to have played a part in what will be a successful global rollout of Infor LN.
