6 months - Packaging Company - Outside IR35

This role will play a crucial part in the production and quality of data produced by the finance systems, and in the automation and optimisation of finance processes within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take the lead on finance systems related projects, including delivering maximum value from the existing improvements roadmap

• Identify further areas to achieve better efficiency

• Design and implement system controls to provide quality assurance over financial data

• Implement, review and maintain financial data, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance to company standards

• Train and support finance team members in the use of systems and procedures

• Collaborate with department heads to understand their specific system and reporting requirements

• Participate in broader company-wide projects and identify any impact for the Finance team

• Support in testing of new functionality

• Support in reconciliations and orchestration of data between different systems

Key Selection Criteria:

• Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent

• Demonstrated skills in system implementation and change techniques to maximize value

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation skills

• Experience of retail organisations and business processes will be advantageous

• Strong knowledge of project management standards and practices

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
