Epicor 9 Techno-Functional Consultant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epicor 9 Technical Consultant to support the development, enhancement and ongoing support of an Epicor ERP 9 environment. The role focuses on technical configuration, customisation and integration, working closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders and third-party vendors to deliver stable and scalable ERP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for Epicor ERP 9, including development, configuration and optimisation

• Design, build and maintain customisations using Epicor tools such as Customisation, BPMs, dashboards and forms

• Develop and support reports using SSRS and Crystal Reports

• Create and maintain integrations between Epicor 9 and third-party systems using REST, SOAP, web services or file-based interfaces

• Support data migration, data validation and data cleansing activities

• Manage Epicor database environments, including SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshooting

• Assist with Epicor upgrades, patches and service packs

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across development, test and production environments

• Produce clear technical documentation for custom developments and integrations

• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Provide technical support and mentoring to internal teams where required

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven hands-on experience as an Epicor 9 Technical Consultant or similar role

• Strong knowledge of Epicor 9 architecture and development framework

• Experience with Epicor Customisation, BPMs, BAQs and dashboards

• Solid SQL Server skills including T-SQL, stored procedures and performance tuning

• Experience with SSRS and Crystal Reports

• Integration experience using APIs, web services or middleware tools

• Understanding of ERP data structures and manufacturing or distribution processes

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Epicor upgrades or migrations from Epicor 9 to later versions

• Knowledge of C#, .NET or Visual Studio

• Exposure to EDI, WMS or shop floor systems

• Experience working in manufacturing or distribution environments
