IFS Cloud SME / Application Lead
Overview
We are seeking an experienced IFS Cloud Subject Matter Expert / Application Lead to take ownership of the organisation’s IFS platform, driving its evolution, optimisation, and alignment with business strategy. This role will act as the key link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring the platform delivers scalable, high-value outcomes.
You will combine deep IFS knowledge with strong delivery leadership, owning the roadmap, shaping platform capabilities, and ensuring successful end-to-end delivery of enhancements and improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the IFS Cloud platform roadmap, aligning with business priorities and long-term strategy
- Act as the primary SME and escalation point for all IFS-related capabilities and enhancements
- Lead engagement with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define priorities, and ensure alignment across functions
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional designs, and backlog priorities
- Oversee end-to-end delivery, ensuring solutions are implemented effectively and deliver measurable value
- Manage and prioritise the product backlog, balancing business demand with technical feasibility and capacity
- Partner closely with technical teams to ensure optimal solution design and platform scalability
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, usability, and adoption
- Support release planning, deployment, and business readiness, including training and change coordination
- Monitor platform performance, adoption, and KPIs to inform ongoing enhancements
- Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and enterprise standards
- Lead Agile ceremonies and promote best practices across delivery teams
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an IFS Cloud SME, Application Lead, or Product Owner within enterprise environments
- Strong functional and/or technical expertise across IFS Cloud / IFS Applications
- Experience owning platform roadmaps and delivering large-scale system enhancements
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across business and IT
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, backlog management, sprint planning)
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical system solutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience working with asset management or ERP platforms is highly desirable
