Job Specification – IFS Finance Functional Consultant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced IFS Finance Functional Consultant to support the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing enhancement of IFS ERP (Cloud / Apps 10) within the finance function. The role focuses on delivering robust financial solutions aligned to business needs, ensuring best practice and system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the configuration and optimisation of IFS Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
  • Gather and analyse finance business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and system solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops with finance stakeholders to map processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support full project lifecycle activities, including implementation, data migration, testing (UAT/SIT), and go-live support.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls.
  • Provide user training, documentation, and post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, reporting, and system enhancements.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working with IFS ERP (Finance modules – Cloud and/or Apps 10).
  • Strong understanding of finance processes (e.g., P2P, O2C, R2R).
  • Experience in ERP implementation or transformation projects.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional system solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge of SQL or data analysis tools.
  • Experience in multi-entity or international finance environments.
  • Familiarity with system integrations and middleware.
