Job Title: IFS Functional Lead

Location: London (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
Salary: £85,000 – £100,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Reports To: Head of ERP / Programme Director


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IFS Functional Lead to take ownership of functional delivery across the IFS ERP platform. This role will lead business engagement, solution design, configuration, and deployment of IFS modules, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and industry best practice.

The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving optimal utilisation of IFS capabilities across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, or service management functions.


Key Responsibilities

? Functional Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end functional design and configuration within IFS.

  • Own solution architecture decisions across assigned modules.

  • Ensure alignment of IFS configuration with business processes and compliance requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement and system optimisation initiatives.

? Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with senior business leaders to define ERP strategy and roadmap.

  • Conduct workshops to capture requirements and translate into functional designs.

  • Provide expert guidance on ERP best practice and process standardisation.

? Delivery & Implementation

  • Lead module implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.

  • Oversee configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), data migration, and deployment activities.

  • Manage third-party partners and system integrators where required.

? Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure documentation of functional specifications, process flows, and configuration guides.

  • Establish ERP governance standards and change control processes.

  • Maintain system integrity, compliance, and audit readiness.

? Training & Adoption

  • Design and deliver training sessions for key users and business teams.

  • Champion user adoption and drive organisational change management.


Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years’ experience working with IFS ERP (Cloud or Apps 10 preferred).

  • Proven experience leading ERP implementations or major transformation programmes.

  • Strong functional expertise in at least one core area:

    • Finance

    • Supply Chain

    • Manufacturing

    • Service Management

  • Experience conducting workshops and managing senior stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of ERP best practices and industry standards.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and vendors.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with IFS Cloud migrations.

  • Knowledge of integrations (APIs, middleware, reporting tools).

  • Formal project management exposure (Prince2, Agile, or PMP).

  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, energy, or construction sectors.
