Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced IFS Manufacturing Consultant to support the design, implementation, configuration, and optimisation of IFS Manufacturing modules. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to translate manufacturing requirements into effective IFS solutions, ensuring best-practice use of the system and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Consulting

Lead and support the implementation of IFS Manufacturing modules, including:

Shop Floor Control
-
Production Scheduling
-
Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOM)

Routings & Work Centres
-
Capacity Planning
-
Order-Based and Project-Based Manufacturing
-

Conduct requirements gathering workshops and process mapping with manufacturing and operations teams

Configure IFS to align with business processes while promoting standardisation and best practice
-
Perform gap analysis and recommend system or process improvements
-
Support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution
Project Delivery

Act as the manufacturing SME within IFS implementation or upgrade projects

Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Projects, and Maintenance consultants
-
Support data migration, cutover planning, and go-live activities
-
Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations
Stakeholder Engagement & Training

Engage with production planners, shop floor supervisors, and operations managers
-
Prepare functional design documents, configuration workbooks, and user guides
-
Deliver end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions
Required Skills & Experience
IFS & ERP Experience
-
Strong hands-on experience with IFS Manufacturing (IFS Applications 9 / 10 / Cloud)

Proven experience delivering end-to-end IFS implementations or major enhancements

Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and ERP best practices
Manufacturing Domain Knowledge

Discrete and/or project-based manufacturing

Make-to-Order, Make-to-Stock, Engineer-to-Order

Production planning, capacity management, and shop floor execution
-
Integration with Inventory, Purchasing, and Quality processes
Consulting & Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical users

Confident workshop facilitator and stakeholder manager

Comfortable working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable / Nice to Have

IFS certification in Manufacturing or related modules

Experience with IFS Cloud and Aurena
-
Exposure to IFS Projects, Maintenance, or Supply Chain

Understanding of integrations, reports, and basic SQL

Experience in aerospace, engineering, defence, construction, or industrial manufacturing sectors
Education

Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
