Role Overview:
The IFS Planning Consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing the planning and scheduling modules within IFS Cloud / IFS Applications, ensuring alignment with business processes and operational goals. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Project teams to deliver scalable and efficient planning solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of IFS Planning and Scheduling functionality, including but not limited to:

Master Scheduling
-
Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

Capacity Planning
-
Advanced Planning Board (APB)
-
Demand Forecasting
-

Conduct requirements gathering and process mapping workshops with key business users.

Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system configurations.

Support integration between Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Projects modules.

Provide expertise in data migration, validation, and testing activities.
-
Deliver end-user training, documentation, and post-go-live support.

Collaborate with IFS technical teams to ensure optimal performance and solution stability.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance system use and business efficiency.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
-
Proven experience as an IFS Consultant with a focus on Planning and Scheduling modules.

Strong knowledge of IFS Cloud or IFS Applications 9/10.

Hands-on configuration and implementation experience in:
-
MRP / CRP
-
Shop Order Management
-
Demand Forecasting
-
Supply Chain and Inventory Planning

Ability to understand and map complex business processes.

Experience with testing, UAT coordination, and change management.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:

Exposure to Manufacturing, Aerospace & Defence, Engineering, or Utilities sectors.

Familiarity with APS tools or other ERP planning systems.

IFS certification or formal training in Planning modules.

SQL and data analysis skills for troubleshooting and reporting.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

IFS Certified Consultant (Planning or Manufacturing) – preferred.
