About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IFS Service & Maintenance Consultant to support, enhance, and optimize our IFS Applications platform, with a focus on Service & Maintenance (S&M) modules. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and functional expertise in IFS, particularly in managing service contracts, work orders, scheduling, and field service operations.

This role will bridge the gap between business operations and IT by ensuring that IFS effectively supports our service management lifecycle — from customer service requests to maintenance planning and execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, customize, and maintain IFS Service & Maintenance modules, including:

  • Service Contracts

  • Work Orders

  • Preventive Maintenance Plans

  • Resource Scheduling & Dispatch

  • Customer and Asset Management

  • Support day-to-day end-user issues and troubleshooting related to IFS S&M functionalities.

  • Collaborate with functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into system solutions.

  • Develop and test custom reports, lobbies, and workflows within IFS.

  • Participate in IFS upgrades, testing, and deployment for S&M-related functionalities.

  • Conduct user training and documentation for new features or processes.

  • Work with the IT team to integrate IFS with other systems (e.g., CRM, mobile service apps, IoT platforms).

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance across all service-related records.

  • Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency, response times, and operational visibility through IFS tools.


    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with IFS Applications, specifically in Service & Maintenance modules.

    • Strong understanding of:

    • Service contracts and work order management

    • Preventive and corrective maintenance processes

    • Asset lifecycle management

    • Resource scheduling and mobile workforce integration

  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, IFS Data Migration tools, and IFS Lobbies/Reports.

  • Ability to analyze business workflows and configure IFS to align with best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Strong collaboration skills with both business and technical teams.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with IFS Cloud (latest version).

    • IFS Academy Certification in Service & Maintenance.

    • Familiarity with Field Service Management (FSM) and IoT integrations.

    • Knowledge of IFS Connect, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration best practices.
