Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced IFS Technical Consultant to design, develop, and support technical solutions within the IFS ERP / IFS Cloud platform. The role involves working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality customizations, integrations, and enhancements aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development & Customization

  • Design and develop technical solutions using IFS Application architecture

  • Customize IFS components including:

  • Custom fields, screens, and layouts

  • Business logic and extensions

  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL, C#/.NET, or Java components

  • Implement and support IFS Cloud extensions and APIs

    Integrations & Interfaces

    • Design and build integrations using REST/SOAP APIs

    • Support inbound and outbound data interfaces

    • Ensure secure and scalable system integrations

    Reporting & Data

    • Develop and maintain reports using Crystal Reports / SSRS

    • Support data migration, cleansing, and validation

    • Optimize SQL queries and database performance

    Support & Maintenance

    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

    • Support system upgrades, patches, and deployments

    • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices

    Collaboration & Documentation

    • Work closely with functional consultants and business users

    • Translate functional requirements into technical solutions

    • Create and maintain technical documentation

    • Provide technical support during UAT and go-live phases

    Required Skills & Experience

    Technical Skills

    • Strong experience with IFS Applications / IFS Cloud

    • Proficiency in Oracle Database & PL/SQL

    • Experience with C# / .NET (preferred) or Java

    • Strong knowledge of REST & SOAP Web Services

    • Reporting experience (Crystal Reports, SSRS)

    • Experience with ERP integrations and data migration

    • Understanding of IFS architecture and customization framework

    Functional Awareness

    • Basic understanding of ERP business processes:

    • Manufacturing

    • Finance

    • Supply Chain

    • Asset Management

    • Projects

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

    • IFS Certification (Technical or Cloud) is highly desirable

    • Experience working in ERP implementation projects

    Soft Skills

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

    • Excellent communication and documentation skills

    • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams

    • Client-facing experience is an advantage
