NetSuite Integrations Consultant

Overview

A multi-entity business is seeking an experienced NetSuite Integration Consultant to stabilise, align, and optimise its NetSuite environment across the UK and US. NetSuite is the core system of record and must be brought fully up to date to support accurate inventory management, accounting, and operational reporting.

The engagement focuses on delivering a working three-way integration between NetSuite, Shopify, and third-party warehouse/distribution partners, while bringing multiple entities onto a consistent and reliable footing.

This is a delivery-focused contract with a blend of hands-on implementation and advisory input to ensure the internal team can operate the system efficiently post-engagement.

Contract Length

  • Initial contract: 3 months

  • Commitment: 4–5 days per week

  • Extension: Likely, subject to progress and business needs

  • Start: March (indicative)

Location & Onsite Requirements

  • Fully remote

  • No regular onsite requirement

  • Occasional travel to UK or US warehouses may be required if deemed critical to integration delivery, but this is expected to be minimal and ad hoc

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of NetSuite with UK and US warehouse and distribution systems

  • Understand, assess, and align warehouse and WMS platforms with NetSuite as the primary system of record

  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate integration approaches, including native NetSuite functionality and non-native / third-party integration tools

  • Support the implementation of NetSuite within a start-up environment with no prior accounting system

  • Establish reliable inventory visibility and data flow across NetSuite, Shopify, and warehouse partners

  • Deliver an overall NetSuite system assessment, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities

  • Provide hands-on support to the wider business for day-to-day NetSuite usage as required

  • Optimise existing configuration to improve usability, performance, and operational efficiency

Required Experience

  • Strong technical NetSuite background with hands-on development capability

  • Proven experience writing SuiteScript (2.x) for customisations, integrations, and automation

  • Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, including authentication, error handling, and data synchronisation

  • Proven experience delivering NetSuite integrations across complex environments

  • Strong experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)

  • Experience integrating NetSuite with:

    • Shopify

    • 3PL / warehouse and distribution partners

  • Comfortable utilising both native NetSuite integration tools and non-native / third-party middleware where appropriate

  • Strong NetSuite knowledge across:

    • Inventory management

    • Multi-entity / multi-subsidiary environments

    • Order-to-cash and fulfilment processes

  • Experience assessing, stabilising, and optimising partially implemented NetSuite environments

  • Ability to operate autonomously in a contract setting and engage directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
