Overview
A business is seeking an experienced interim NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB) Technical Consultant to support the stabilisation, optimisation, and structured development of its NSPB environment ahead of formal go live in early February.
The platform is already live for day to day use but contains a number of scripts, calculations, and behaviours that require technical review and refinement. The focus of this role is to fix existing issues, improve reliability and usability, and then propose and deliver a clear next phase of technical development.
This role is best suited to someone with strong technical depth in NSPB, particularly around scripting and calculation logic, who can work pragmatically within a finance led environment.
Responsibilities

Review and understand the current NSPB configuration, scripts, business rules, and calculation logic.

Diagnose and resolve existing issues, bugs, and quirks affecting system behaviour, performance, and data accuracy.

Optimise existing calculations and structures to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Build and refine a small number of essential finance and operational reports required for budgeting, forecasting, and planning.

Work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to understand current and future requirements.

Propose, document, and where appropriate implement further calculations, enhancements, and improvements.

Produce a concise technical development and optimisation roadmap for the next phase of work.

Support the business through January reporting and into formal go live in early February.
Required Experience

Strong hands on experience with NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB) or Oracle PBCS / EPBCS.

Proven experience troubleshooting, stabilising, and optimising existing planning and budgeting implementations.

Strong technical capability across scripting, rules, calculation logic, data models, and system behaviour.

Experience working in environments where systems are live but still evolving.

Ability to translate finance and business requirements into technical solutions.

Comfortable working independently, prioritising issues, and delivering value quickly.
