Technical Consultant Team Lead

We are seeking a Technical Consultant Lead to drive the delivery of Epicor ERP solutions and provide leadership to a team of technical consultants. This is a hands-on role where you will combine technical expertise with team leadership, ensuring high-quality delivery of customised ERP solutions that align with client needs.

Responsibilities

Technical Delivery & Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of technical consultants to deliver consistent, high-quality solutions.

• Take ownership of technical design, coding, deployment, and estimation of deliverables.

• Deliver Epicor ERP technical solutions, including customisations, BPMs, integrations, and automations.

• Work with Epicor ERP toolsets, REST APIs, SQL, and related technologies.

• Conduct code reviews and contribute to development tasks, guiding the team to best practice standards.

• Act as the escalation point for complex technical challenges, providing expert troubleshooting.

Best Practices & Quality Assurance

• Enforce coding, release management, and deployment best practices.

• Ensure all solutions meet stability, security, and quality assurance standards.

• Stay current with Epicor product updates, identifying opportunities to improve client deployments.

Project Delivery & Client Engagement

• Deliver technical workstreams within project timelines, scope, and quality expectations.

• Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, and clients to align technical solutions with business requirements.

• Accurately estimate effort and time for technical deliverables.

• Participate in client workshops, status meetings, and technical discussions.

• Balance hands-on technical delivery with management of team resources.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Champion automation, innovation, and technical process improvements.

• Share knowledge through documentation, training, and mentoring initiatives.

• Drive continuous improvement across technical delivery within the practice.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ hands-on Epicor ERP technical consulting experience.

• Strong expertise in Epicor customisation, BPMs, REST APIs, and SQL development.

• Proven ability to design and deliver technical solutions while leading or mentoring others.

• Experience managing technical delivery commitments and estimating effort accurately.

• Strong understanding of software development best practices, version control, and release management.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and confident client-facing communication.

• Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall delivery methodologies.

• Degree in Technology, Engineering, or Manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within an Epicor partner organisation.

• Epicor ERP or project management certifications.

• Familiarity with cloud deployments and multi-tenant environments.

• Knowledge of Power BI, SSRS Reporting, and automation tools is highly desirable.
