Senior Epicor Developer

The Opportunity

An established UK manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Epicor Developer to take ownership of the technical development, enhancement and ongoing optimisation of its Epicor ERP system.

This is a key position within the business, working closely with operational stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering, finance, supply chain and commercial teams to ensure Epicor continues to support business growth. You'll play a leading role in delivering new functionality, improving existing processes and driving technical best practice across the ERP landscape.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on technical role while influencing ERP strategy and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and support of custom Epicor ERP solutions across the business.

• Develop and maintain BAQs, BPMs, Dashboards, Application Studio customisations and REST API integrations.

• Design scalable solutions that improve manufacturing, production, inventory and supply chain processes.

• Support Epicor Kinetic upgrades, testing, deployments and ongoing system optimisation.

• Work closely with department heads to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Develop integrations between Epicor and third-party applications including shop floor systems, finance applications and reporting tools.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation, development standards and best practice guides.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide 3rd line ERP support where required.

• Mentor less experienced developers and provide technical guidance across ERP projects.

• Collaborate with external Epicor partners and software vendors on larger development initiatives.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve system performance.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone who has:

• Strong commercial experience developing within Epicor ERP (Epicor 10 and/or Epicor Kinetic).

• Excellent knowledge of BAQs, BPMs, Dashboards, Functions and Application Studio.

• Experience developing REST API integrations and working with Epicor Service Connect or modern integration methods.

• Strong SQL Server skills including stored procedures, queries and database optimisation.

• Experience working with C#, .NET and REST services.

• Knowledge of SSRS reporting and data extraction.

• Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades or continuous improvement projects.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes including production, planning, inventory, purchasing and supply chain.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Previous experience mentoring developers or leading technical ERP projects would be advantageous.

Desirable Experience

• Epicor Kinetic Cloud (SaaS) experience.

• Epicor Functions and Automation Studio.

• Power BI or Epicor Data Analytics (EDA).

• Azure DevOps or source control management.

• MES, CRM or WMS integration experience.

• Experience within sheet metal, engineering or manufacturing environments.
