Epicor Migration Consultant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epicor Migration Consultant to lead and support the successful migration of legacy ERP systems to the Epicor ERP platform. The successful candidate will play a critical role in planning, designing and executing data, process and system migrations while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and third-party vendors, you will provide expert guidance throughout the full migration lifecycle, from discovery and assessment through to deployment and post-go-live support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Epicor ERP migration and upgrade projects from inception through to completion.
  • Conduct discovery workshops to assess existing systems, business processes and data structures.
  • Develop migration strategies, project plans and implementation roadmaps.
  • Analyse and map legacy data structures to Epicor ERP data models.
  • Define and execute data cleansing, transformation and migration activities.
  • Configure and optimise Epicor modules to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and identify process improvements.
  • Support system integration activities involving third-party applications, WMS, MES, CRM and reporting solutions.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), system testing and validation activities.
  • Deliver user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Manage cutover planning and go-live activities.
  • Provide post-implementation support and issue resolution.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, migration plans and process maps.
  • Ensure adherence to project governance, risk management and change control procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering Epicor ERP migration, implementation or upgrade projects.
  • Strong understanding of Epicor Kinetic and/or Epicor ERP 10.
  • Experience migrating from legacy ERP systems into Epicor.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP business processes across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement and inventory management.
  • Experience with data migration tools, ETL processes and data validation techniques.
  • Understanding of SQL Server and database structures.
  • Experience working within manufacturing, distribution or supply chain environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience supporting testing, training and change management activities.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Epicor CPQ, Advanced MES, Automation Studio or Epicor Data Discovery.
  • Knowledge of cloud migration programmes.
  • Experience integrating Epicor with third-party applications and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of API integrations and middleware platforms.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2 or PMP.
  • Epicor certifications would be advantageous.
