Job Title
IFS Finance Consultant
Role Purpose
Implement, configure, optimise, and support finance processes within the IFS ERP platform. Work with finance and business stakeholders to ensure the system meets operational, reporting, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements from finance teams.
- Lead finance workshops and process-mapping sessions.
- Configure IFS Finance modules including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets
- Cash Management
- Financial Reporting
- Design functional solutions and recommend best-practice processes.
- Support full project lifecycle:
- Requirements gathering
- Solution design
- Configuration
- Testing/UAT
- Training
- Go-live and hypercare support
- Work with technical teams on reports, integrations, and customisations.
- Support system upgrades, rollouts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with IFS Applications 10 and/or IFS Cloud.
- Knowledge of core finance processes and accounting principles.
- Experience delivering ERP implementation projects.
- Stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Functional configuration experience within IFS Finance.
- Understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Ability to translate business requirements into ERP solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, or related field.
- Professional finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, etc.) desirable.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, energy, or service industries using IFS.
- Consulting background.
