IFS Finance Consultant

Location: Remote (UK-Based)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced IFS Finance Consultant to support a major IFS Cloud programme for a UK-based organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with strong functional finance expertise and a proven track record delivering successful IFS implementations, upgrades, and optimisation projects.

You will work closely with finance stakeholders, project teams, and technical consultants to ensure the successful delivery of finance processes within the IFS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead finance workstreams within IFS Cloud projects.
• Gather and document business requirements from finance stakeholders.
• Configure and optimise IFS Finance modules.
• Conduct workshops, gap analysis, and solution design sessions.
• Support finance process improvements and best practice adoption.
• Create functional specifications and process documentation.
• Manage testing activities including SIT and UAT.
• Deliver end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as an IFS Finance Consultant.
• Strong knowledge of IFS Cloud or IFS Applications.
• Expertise across core finance modules including:
  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Fixed Assets
  • Cash Management
  • Consolidation
  • Financial Reporting
• Experience delivering full lifecycle ERP implementations.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, energy, or service-based industries.
• Previous experience on global or multi-site implementations.
• Knowledge of reporting and analytics within IFS.
• Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
