Role Purpose

The IFS Manufacturing Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting manufacturing solutions within IFS Cloud. The role works closely with business stakeholders to understand manufacturing processes, translate business requirements into IFS functionality, and ensure successful delivery of manufacturing workstreams during ERP implementations, upgrades, and continuous improvement programmes.


Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Process Analysis

  • Analyse current manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate workshops with production, engineering, planning, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Document business requirements and process flows.
  • Recommend industry best practices aligned with IFS capabilities.

IFS Solution Design

  • Design manufacturing solutions using standard IFS functionality.
  • Configure manufacturing modules to meet business requirements.
  • Produce functional specifications for custom developments where required.
  • Ensure solutions remain scalable and support future business growth.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build trusted relationships with business users.

  • Challenge existing processes where improvements can be achieved.
  • Manage expectations throughout project delivery.

Testing

  • Develop test scenarios.
  • Execute System Integration Testing (SIT).
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Resolve functional defects.

Training & Documentation

  • Produce functional design documentation.
  • Create user guides and training materials.
  • Deliver end-user training.
  • Support knowledge transfer to support teams.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Support post-go-live enhancements.
  • Keep up to date with new IFS Cloud releases.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years implementing or supporting IFS ERP.
  • Strong experience with IFS Cloud (or IFS Applications 10 with Cloud migration experience).
  • Multiple full lifecycle ERP implementations.
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Experience working in project environments.
  • Business process improvement experience.
  • Requirements gathering and workshop facilitation.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-site manufacturing businesses.
