The Role

We are looking for an experienced IFS SOFTEON Consultant to join a growing ERP and supply chain technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with strong SOFTEON WMS experience who can work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams and operational users to deliver improvements across warehouse and supply chain processes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation, configuration, optimisation and ongoing support of SOFTEON WMS, working across warehouse management, inventory, distribution and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional expertise across IFS SOFTEON WMS.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective SOFTEON solutions.
• Configure and optimise SOFTEON functionality to support business processes.
• Support WMS implementations, upgrades and system enhancements.
• Work across warehouse management, inventory control, picking, packing, replenishment and distribution processes.
• Lead requirements gathering, workshops and process mapping with business stakeholders.
• Produce functional specifications and supporting documentation.
• Support system testing, including SIT, UAT and regression testing.
• Investigate and resolve functional issues and system defects.
• Support integrations between SOFTEON and other ERP, warehouse and third-party systems.
• Work with technical teams on interfaces, data and system integrations.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to business users.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, automation and system utilisation.
• Support post-go-live activities and ongoing system optimisation.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with SOFTEON WMS.
• Experience working within IFS / IFS ERP environments.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management and supply chain processes.
• Experience across WMS implementations, upgrades or optimisation projects.
• Functional configuration and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong understanding of inventory, warehouse and distribution processes.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into system solutions.
• Experience producing functional specifications and process documentation.
• Strong testing and UAT experience.
• Experience working with ERP/WMS integrations and interfaces.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with technical and business teams.

Desirable Experience

• IFS Applications / IFS Cloud experience.
• Experience with manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Experience with warehouse automation and material handling systems.
• SQL/data analysis knowledge.
• API/integration experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP or WMS transformation programmes.
• Previous experience working as an IFS SOFTEON Functional Consultant, Business Analyst or WMS Consultant.
