IFS Technical Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IFS Technical Consultant to join a growing organisation and play a key role in the development, integration, optimisation and ongoing support of its IFS ERP environment.

You will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders and wider IT teams to deliver technical solutions across the IFS platform, supporting both business-as-usual activity and major transformation programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an IFS technical specialist to work across IFS Cloud, integrations, development, reporting and ERP transformation within a forward-thinking organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a technical SME for the organisation's IFS ERP environment.

• Design, develop and implement technical solutions within IFS.

• Work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain integrations between IFS and third-party applications.

• Support IFS implementations, upgrades, migrations and optimisation projects.

• Develop, configure and maintain IFS technical components.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the IFS environment.

• Support system performance, stability and ongoing technical improvements.

• Work with APIs, interfaces and integration technologies.

• Support data migration, extraction, transformation and validation activities.

• Develop and maintain reports, interfaces and technical documentation.

• Work with internal IT teams and external IFS partners to deliver technical projects.

• Support testing, defect resolution and deployment activities.

• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

• Ensure solutions follow appropriate development, security and governance standards.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience working within the IFS technical ecosystem, with the ability to work across both project delivery and ongoing support.

You should have:

• Strong commercial experience as an IFS Technical Consultant / IFS Technical Analyst / IFS Developer / IFS Technical Lead.

• Practical experience with IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud.

• Strong understanding of IFS technical architecture and development.

• Experience developing or supporting IFS integrations.

• Strong SQL and database knowledge.

• Experience working with APIs and web services.

• Experience supporting IFS implementations, upgrades or migrations.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
