NetSuite Technical Consultant

I am working with a growing organisation seeking an experienced NetSuite Technical Consultant to take ownership of the design, development, and optimisation of their NetSuite environment. This role will play a key part in delivering scalable solutions, enhancing system performance, and maintaining integrations across a wider business technology landscape.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain NetSuite customisations using SuiteScript (1.0 and 2.x) and SuiteFlow.
• Design, build, and support integrations between NetSuite and external business applications using APIs and middleware technologies.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and scalable system architectures.
• Create and maintain advanced saved searches, reporting solutions, dashboards, and SuiteAnalytics workbooks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve scripting issues, integration challenges, and system performance bottlenecks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including optimisation of existing customisations, script refactoring, and technical debt reduction.
• Manage deployments across development, testing, and production environments, ensuring stability and data integrity.
• Work within established change management processes using project and ticketing tools.

About You

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite technical experience.
• Strong SuiteScript development expertise and solid JavaScript programming skills.
• Proven experience building and maintaining integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Strong understanding of JSON, XML, middleware platforms, and data exchange processes.
• Experience supporting and enhancing complex integrations and automated data flows.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data structures.
• NetSuite certifications such as SuiteCloud Developer or Administrator are highly desirable.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with finance teams, functional consultants, and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
