iTrent Implementation Consultant (12-Month Contract)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and delivery-focused Interim Implementation Consultant to join our client on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will lead the successful implementation of iTrent for HR and Payroll, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.

Working closely with customers, project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders, you will manage the implementation lifecycle from discovery through to go-live and handover, providing expert guidance and ensuring an excellent customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead implementation projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops to understand customer requirements and business processes.
  • Develop implementation plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Configure solutions in line with agreed customer requirements.
  • Coordinate project activities across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Ensure implementations are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.

Customer Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary implementation contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage customer expectations and provide regular project updates.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and implementation workshops.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and go-live activities.

Solution Design

  • Translate business requirements into functional solution designs.
  • Recommend best practice processes and system configurations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation.
  • Work closely with technical teams where integrations or customisations are required.

Collaboration

  • Work alongside Project Managers, Product, Support, Development, and Customer Success teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of implementation methodologies.
  • Produce clear project documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Assist with the development of implementation templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.

Post Go-Live Support

  • Support customers during hypercare periods.
  • Ensure successful handover to Customer Success or Support teams.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to service improvements.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering software or SaaS implementation projects.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing consulting or professional services role.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent workshop facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Strong project planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience implementing iTrent, enterprise software or business applications.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, HR, Finance, or workflow systems.
  • Familiarity with data migration and system integrations.
  • PRINCE2, Agile, or PMP certification.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
